Howdy - Fender part number 021703 Works for the Montreux too!

Also the three switch 021702 will work but you won't have the EQ switch function. The 021703 adds the fourth switch for the Equalizer function.

The London Reverb and the Showman solid state amps accommodate the 4th EQ switch function while the Montreux does not, so if you use the 021703 with it the EQ switch does nothing.

You can use either the 021702 or the 021703 with the Showman, London Reverb and Montreux models of the early 80's Rivera era solid state amps.

These footswitches are a tough find. You can also BUILD a new 4 button switch yourself or MOD an existing 4 button footswitch for your London by rewiring it using this schematic of the 021702 adding a fourth switch with a fourth LED on the right using a green wire. All switches are momentary contact. If you omit the LED's you'll not have positive confirmation the effect is engaged. The pin wiring connections for the Switchcraft SL405MX connector is also shown below the 021702 schematic. Amazon.com has some of these hard to find connectors right now. You can use any cable with a minimum of 5 stranded conductors. And you can change the wire colors depending on what colors are available in the cable you use so long as it is done correctly.

Hope that you can find one, but if not you can build or re-engineer one!

I'll probably build one based on your diagram. Thanks again.

More notes on this for a build then.

The switch originally used was a "Carling 110-PM-OFF" if that matters. Some are still available but their distribution is limited. For example here:
http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Carling-Technologies/110-PM-OFF/?qs=Bt9msQOSEdggUCr2zUHKEw==

Very low voltages are involved, just under 2 Volts DC so about any momentary contact switch would work. The problem is durability since it is a footswitch you don't want a plastic anything exposed from the pedal. The Carling is durable and actually cheaper than a comparable one at Radio Shack.

The power from the amp to power the bulb is specified to be 1.9v DC when the light is on. When pressing the associated switch the bulb will briefly gets less, about 1.4v DC. 1.4v DC is the voltage on the switch circuit.

Before buying LED's and certainly before installing them I'd check the voltage to make sure though. These amps are getting on in years and things can get quite unstable. Safety first remember the footswitch circuit is running off 120v AC and ANYTHING can happen!

Radio Shack carries some LED's, but I've heard they are not as bright as others. But that is possibly because people that post that evaluation didn't bother to match them to the actual voltage. Try to find 2 to 4 volt LED's. Here's some inexpensive ones:
http://www.intertexelectronics.com/2V-Led-Panel-Lamps-C269.aspx

I don't know who made the original LED's or exactly what their specs were. If they seem too bright you can insert a resistor in the circuit or you can buy a higher voltage bulb but a resistor would work. I think the 2 to 4 volt LED's would be fine. The ones at Radio Shack mostly seem to be 12 volters. You'd just have to go there and see if they have any lower voltages I guess.
