Hello, new here! I'm italian..and my english isn't very good, but i'm working to learn it :)
So..i'm a drummer, but interested in home recording too and any kind of instrument.
I just bought an american standard stratocaster, and i'm searching for the date when my guitar was made.
See you in the forum, bye.

Hello Betoschi and welcome. Your English is far better than my Italian I assure you! If you can advise your serial putting XXXX instead of the last 4 numbers we can figure it out. Or check this page and see if you can figure it out:
http://www.fender.com/support/articles/u-s-instruments-product-dating/

If your Stratocaster is an export instrument, and it possibly is since you are maybe in Italy, then it may not decode using the chart at the above link because export instruments frequently get a modified serial sequence to lock them out of North American support that will not decode the same way as domestic instruments in the USA do. The guide at the above link is for instruments distributed in North America only and may not work for an export instrument.

If unable to decode it you can contact Fender Consumer Relations with your serial number by email to consumerrelations@fender.com who may can tell you when it was made and to what distributor it was shipped in Europe.

Enjoy it! Also when you get ready for a bass be sure to stick to Fender....it is the standard!
