This is the first forum I have ever joined; in fact it is the first anything I have joined since enlisting in the Navy many, many moons ago. Hmmm, perhaps the American Legion is next! I have been lurking for quite awhile and enjoy the discussions and back and forths a lot and have actually learned a lot whether I wanted to or not. Seems guitars are like cars; we all have our favorites. Ford people or GMC folks and of course Mopar. I bought a Epi Les Paul from MF about three years ago and was yearning for something that sounded a little different so I got an American Std. Strat last Jan. from GC not too far away. Man, what a difference! Like getting out of a pickup and hopping into a sports car with power steering. Love that Strat! Love my Gibson clone, too for that jazzy sound, but the Strat just seems more comfortable and actually easier to play. Good choice. I have had a guitar of some sort since high school but am only now trying to learn it, do it some justice. Thanks for being here! the internet sure is a great help for us professional amateurs to find things to play to keep us interested and get our questions answered. Later,
Mike

So young Grasshopper, the first thing you decide to join since the Navy is the Fender Forum! Didn't you learn anything about volunteering!

Don't worry about that Epiphone, we all make mistakes. I have one around here somewhere myself.

Yes the Internet is a great learning resource for up and coming players, or even old time ones that want to learn something new.
