Hey everybody-

I signed up here to find more info about my beloved Fender guitars & basses.

I got my first Fender when I was 12 years old in 1981 I believe- It is a Bronco guitar. My dad then got me a Princeton Reverb 12 watt tube amp when I was 13. Really kick $@! amp, and loud for 12 watts! I could jam with my friends that had solid state 100 watt amps and not struggle to be heard.

I play drums mainly, but also play guitar & bass. I've been playing them all since I was a small kid. I got a Jazz Bass Special (that I like to call my "Duff Bass" because Duff from GNR plays them almost exclusively), a P-bass, a standard Jazz Bass, and a Jazz clone I'm working on.
I also have a Tele.

I have the princeton reverb, and a marshall half stack, and Ampeg bass amps. Though I'm left handed (hence the name) I play drums, guitar, & bass "right handed". To me, playing drums requires both hands & feet anyway, so arranging them is trivial, and my dad is a drummer, and I just sat at his kit when I was little the way he set it up, and learned to do it "right handed".

For guitar/bass, the reason I play 'right handed' is 2 fold- first, I learned on a right handed guitar, and figured a guitar was a guitar, you played it as is- but, the main thing for me, is I feel my left hand which is more coordinated is doing the real "heavy lifting" in fingering the frets/strings- if you cut my right hand off and welded a pick to my stump, I could still play. Strumming the strings doesn't require as much dexterity IMO. That's just the way I see it. I do everything else lefty.

Anyway, I love my Fenders, and hope to learn more about them. :)
