Hi there,

Today I’m joining the Fender Community because would like to share with you my experience as a bass player as I recently acquire a distinctive Fender Jazz bass. Its serial number starts with E, so it dates back to early 90’s

I’m here also too look through the forum and see what tips and tricks can I get out of your experiences as Fender users.

Thanks for reading… let’s the talk begins

Hi Mui Vintage, Welcome to the forum. I suppose you've researched your serial but USA made "E" serials were used 1979 through 1989/1990. 1990 models switched to "N" serials.

Hi, thanks for reading my post. Actually I have not checked the serial number on my jazz bass.

The serial is E 90749, made in USA.

Here is a picture of it.

I wonder if there is a way to find the matiching date for it here.... I'll have a look around

Hi!

http://www.fender.com/en-NO/support/art ... ct-dating/

From what I can tell it's from 1989 or 1990.

I've heard that the longhorns have excellent weight distribution and are very comfortable, but I've never really warmed up to those massive horns myself.

How does it play?

It plays wonderfully, specially with flats on it :D which is how I have it. It sounds really phat, and funky!
