Hi guys. I have been around for a couple of months. I bought my Mustang Floor back in March, and I am finally taking the time to say hello.

I worked in the Music biz for many years in the 90's as an audio engineer, got into post production working for Technicolor for about 13 years in their audio department, many of those years doing audio restoration editing.

I have been playing since 1984. Intermediate player at best. I never had the time nor discipline build up the skill level I desire. Having bad luck in finding like minded fellow musicians didn't help. Maybe that will change, but having recently gotten married, I don't think so.

Anyway, I am part of the worship band at my church and that's the main reason I bought the Mustang Floor. I had been using a Digitech RP2000 and had been considering the RP1000 as a replacement or going larger and adding the TC Electronics G system to my Carvin Quad X Preamp with Tube Power amp Combo. I was hesitant about spending the money for the TC option. The outputs on my Digitech died and I became desperate for a replacement when I came across the Mustang Floor. I didn't know a lot about it, was not familiar with the Mustang series in general, but a local shop had one listed for $199 so I decided to try it out.

I liked it a lot and took the plunge. For my purposes it works perfectly (almost). You know us guitar players, there's always something we would change.

I am slowly getting a pedal board system put to gether as I don't use the Floor by itself.

I run my guitar into an MXR Dyna Comp -> a Boss Volume Pedal (this allows control of volume before amp models) Tuner Output -> Korg Pitch Black (the tuner on Floor is good, but the display is not as responsive - I have been using the Korg for 2 years I really like it and see no reason not to) Volume Pedal Output-> Mustang Floor, Loop Output to MXR Distortion +, Unbalanced Output Left to an Older 45 Watt version of the Vox Pathfinder for Personal Monitoring, Balanced Right Output to the House.

I may add my Vox Wah before the Boss Volume Pedal. I actually like the wah on the Floor, but I am also so used to the Vox sound. I haven't decided yet which way to go. May also add my Banshee talk Box into the mix. Not sure where in the chain yet. I don't use it that much, but it's fun to have as an option. I also want to add (when I get them) an MXR LA Machine Fuzz and either MXR OD or Voodoo OD [I forget the exact manufacturer name, but a local guy near me designed it and I can get it from him - has 2 different OD's in one. He's the same guy who used to design the Snarling Dog Pedals] into the loop.

Other gear:
Fender Princton 112 SS Amp - has been my main practice amp for years.

Fender Stage Lead 212 (SS) - The one I had was a CBS era one. It was my first amp and I loved it. Sadly it experienced some component failure and kept blowing fuses. A guy at a studio I used to work at was going to fix it and unsoldered a bunch of stuff around the Power Supply and damaged it. I was going to get rid of the amp part and wire the speakers so I could use it as an extension cab, either stereo or mono, but had to throw it out when I moved to NJ from California - the moving expenses where getting too high and I had to leave some stuff behind - I could not find it a new home sadly.
