I just bought my first guitar (an American Standard Telecaster) and I'm looking forward to learning how to play. At 54, I have no illusions about becoming a professional, I just want to have some fun and give myself some stress relief after a long day at work. Anyway, glad to be a member!

The best thing is to start with a teacher which can teach you good habits in first . There is some trick to do chords and solo easier .You will learn to play song faster than by yourself . No need many months of lessons.

No need to earn to read music , too much time consuming
