Hello, I'm Mark from Burton on Trent. 47 years old and I'v retired so I could look after my wife when she became ill after a stroke and kidney failure. To give me something to so between her 4 times a day dialysis sessions I decided to take up the guitar. After purchasing a CD-60 I became hooked on Fender guitars and went a little mad, and just kept buying (as you can see from my sig!). I do still need (want) another Fender as I've fallen head over heels in love with the Jim Root Strat in black, but it can wait a while. Although I have a few guitars, my main one is my Strat, as its comfortable to practice on.
I hope I can take an active roll within the forums, and learn more about not only playing, but also the technical aspects of guitar ownership

Woah, it may be dreary down in Staffordshire but Manchester's a hotbed of excitement.

Well, I exaggerate. Never dreary though.

Hello and welcome to the Fender forums. If there's anything about Fender guitars that people here don't know then it's not worth knowing.

As an Air Force brat, I spent 3 yrs. in Huntington area.
Every time I remember cold and dreary., I also think fish-chips smothered in vinegar.....wrapped in newspaper.
And then of course.........there's Pink Floyd.

Yes, except on Sundays, because then she visits her aunt in Liverpool.
