Brand new second owner of a 2016 Skyburst Elite Strat here. Owned a natural finish American Strat in high school/college (late '70s/early '80s) and sold it cheap in the mid-'80s. Always wanted another to noodle on. My saddest story is the '70s 12-string Martin bought cheap from my cousin and sold cheaper (a few hundred) as a struggling new college grad who needed rent money. Been kicking myself ever since...

Hi Mercat68, welcome to the forum. I can imagine the feeling of loss when you've sold a guitar, but I've never sold one myself, I just keep buying more and more. :D

Boy! It would be hard to find someone who hasn’t felt a loss with a trade, sale, or similar decision. Having sold, with other priorities, a lesser, but still perfectly good 12 string that I wish I had tweaked with a minor repair, now that I know more today, I can relate to your loss. Mercat68. On the other hand, the Strat for both of us is a nice compensation, Besides, we can have plenty of chances to long for the guitar that gets away or the one out of reach. You’ll find some of those here in the Forum(s) too. Enjoy!
