Hello. I've been playing guitar off and on since the late '70's. I had 2 Fender Guitars back then: a Squire Lead and a Squire Bass. I now have a Squire Semi-Hollow Body Telecaster and a Stratocaster that I assembled from a kit about 17 years ago. There was this guy on ebay that made the body (I think he used spruce) and supplied Fender hardware and a blank neck (meaning that the Head was simply square). I made both hardware and electronic modifications as well as painted it. The paint didn't turn out so good but it plays well and sounds good. I found this forum while reading through the manual of a Mustang I v2 amp that I got along with the Tele at an estate auction.

Hi. WizardZeno

Great introduction. It reminded me of all the guys in school who, for one reason or another, took on the project of making guitars in the early 60s when popularity boomed. Some of them were solid mahogany and pretty heavy. Not a lot of hollow bodies because of the skills unavailable. They would have come in handy. :P
Have a good time here in the Forum(s). There’s lots of entertainment and knowledge of guitar gear available from around the world. :D
