Hi ,

I am a 37 year old going through a long standing relationship with my mid life crisis. I have been dabbling at the guitar for over 15 years (fiddle with the guitar 2-3 days a year)with no great improvement. Over the last 6 months though i have been trying real hard using the yousician app. Its been working for me. Now i got a squier guitar with a fender amp. And I am really enjoying playing it.

Hi solosynergy, welcome to the forum. We all learn at different times and different speeds, I'm a slow one, still learning the basics after playing for years. Enjoy your time here.

You’ll do just fine, solosynergy. As Steve and SBLS made note of, learning can be a different process for everyone, and as you mentioned you are trying an app, and that’s one more indication that the tools today will help,

Some days will seem like a waste. others will come easy, and still others will turn the Iight on as you discover the answer or method to what you tried to learn or understand earlier. The key is to accept the fact that you already know how to play more than most people. Most people don’t have a guitar.
