Got my first guitar at 17 (a japanese Strat with a floyd rose tremolo system) and a year later traded it in on a 62 Jaguar. Played Jaguars ever since until recently... just got my first Jazzmaster (30 years after I started playing). I have Played a fender Vibro-King for about 16 years but have recent taken on a Custom 64 Deluxe Reverb Hand Wired.

I grew up on punk rock and weirdo music (my favorites are The Velvet Underground and Albert Ayler but there are so many more) and have mostly been influenced by being a nomad and what every different place has done to influence me. My latest fancy is learning how to play Jazz guitar on my Jazzmaster (just so I can be the one guy that actually "plays jazz on a Jazzmaster").

i have decided to hang my hat in Humboldt County in California (about 90 miles from Oregon on the coast).

Hi backbreakerjr, welcome to the forum. Jonny Marr never plays jazz on his Jazzmaster. Maybe you'll be the first. :D
Sounds like a nice amp too that you have there.

Hi, backbreakerjr.

Glad to have you join us. You’ve had and have some great classic gear there. If you ever decide to change genres, you’re set to rock the new and old Surf on the coast. Even so, punk and jazz will fit just fine with a Pulp Fickshun vibe. :P

Enjoy the forums.
