Hi, I'm a pro player from the UK, my first Bass was an awful P Bass copy, bought in 1978.
In 1982, I bought a JV Squire Jazz, which I still own to this day. The current arsenal includes the Squire, 1963, 1971 and 1975 Jazz Basses, and a mid '90's Japanese Fender P Bass.
Other Basses previously owned included 1960, & '62 P Basses a pair of mid '70's P's, and 2 1978 J's.
Guess I'm hooked....
And it goes without saying that I wish I still had the early P Basses, but we live and learn.....

Welcome to the Forum(s), mart3442. Looks like you’re armed for any battle of the bands. You give a good example that every axe has a characteristic of it’s own, and until you have it in your hands for some time you never know what works and doesn’t. But, when it does work all the Mumbo Jumbo takes a back seat to mojo and vibes. Looks like you have that. Thanks, for sharing it here. :D
Cheers!

Hi,
That's a lot of basses, being a piano player, how many pianos do you have? Just kidding...
Welcome & enjoy...
