Hello everyone! I'm a 50 year old absolute beginner about to make a life long dream a reality. I'm in the process buying my first Stratocaster and learning to play. Thankfully, I'm at a point in life that will allow me to focus as much time and effort as needed to do this right! Better late than never I suppose! So, if anyone needs me...I'm the old guy in the back taking notes. In all seriousness though... thanks again for having me.

Hey, youngster - you're the new 40. Glad to hear that you've decided to join us, Bentnotbroken. Another guitar finding another good home and another member added to the Forum is always welcome. :D

Hi and welcome to the forum. You're almost the same age as me I'll be 50 in December.

Good luck with learning the guitar, I've been playing for a long time now but still feel that I'm learning the basics.

Welcome!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
