Hi,

I've recently just put my Fender Strat in for a setup after 12 years of owning it. I'm looking to get a second Fender soon. I'm now looking to learn about why I like the Start I currently own, neck radius, neck shape, pickups and so on...

I've got the serial number and looking to learn more about the current Start I own before I buy another one. I'm gonna go look for the correct section to post these questions in.

A good start but don't be put off by trying different specifications. I though I would only like a 9½" maple neck because that is what my first Strat was. My favourite is perhaps now a 7.25" rosewood neck Strat. I thought I didn't like folded saddles; half my Strats now have folded saddles and I don't have an issue with them. The list goes on. In short, what you have now doesn't matter. Try many and one will connect with you.

Hi, EnzoMan. However you look at it, that new guitar's modern C or V will be a new experience with some familiarity and some apprehension. It took me awhile to get used to a new Amn Dlx Strat neck that I didn't feel 100% comfortable with at first. A setup to suit me after some time alone made all the difference. It didn't take long before things changed for the better. I went through that with my 12 string, and I may go through that with the next guitar. Sometimes, you'll know right away; but, not always, at least for me. Anyhow, enjoy the hunt, EnzoMan, and keep us posted.
