Hi there, my name's Chris, and I'm a guitaraholic. But seriously, hello to all!
I live in Chicago, IL; Avid Blackhawks, Bears, and White Sox fan. I love all things nerdy/gamer, sports, and metal. Some influences to my playing would be James Hetfield, Richard Kruspe, Rob Flynn, Alexi Laiho, the all-mighty Randy Rhoads, Malcolm Young, and Paul Gilbert.

So I just bought a Squier Strat a week or so ago; technically making it my 2nd Fender/Squier product ever purchased. First one was my first guitar ever back in 2003/2004. Since then I've bounced around companies, never really showing any favoritism. Been through. LTDs, Gibbys, Ibanez, Deans, BC Rich, Xaviere, Agile, Jacksons; and probably some more I can't think of at the moment.
My first guitar (a blue Squier Strat) was bought for me as a Grammar School Graduation gift back in '03. However I didn't really play or show much interest in creating music until around early-mid college, so 2010-2012. I've never been in a band and not until recently have many people actually hear me play.

Right now my rig would be:
Squier Stratocaster - Black - 1 high-output humbucker w/ 1 vol
Line 6 Pocket POD (used to compact recording and experimenting, and ease of travel)
(Gutted) Raven RG20 combo amp - current project to turn it into a nice looking, Legend of Zelda themed cabinet.

That's all I can think of at the moment. If anyone would have any questions I'd love to answer them.
Happy to be here and hope to fit in with this fine community!

Thanks,
Chris.

That's a great introduction from Chicago, my kind of of town.

It's good to have you in this club of good folks and scoundrels of the music world. Well, only a few of us (like myself) are scoundrels. (Actually, I only classify myself as a scoundrel . . . the others don't qualify).

As SBLS stated, you'll fit in well, so welcome aboard, Chris.
