Played off and on since I was in Jr. High 40+ years ago. Every time I get going on getting better something always short circuits my progression. I have many other interests which is to blame. I had a Lone Star Strat from 20 years ago and a Blues Deluxe amp. Those 94 amps had problems and ended up crapping out on my son. After developing arthritis in my wrist and hands and gave the guitar and amp to my son who is an outstanding player as well as a musician. We replaced the Blues Deluxe with a Hot Rod Deluxe. I really missed playing so several years later this past March I got a EJ Strat and Deluxe Reverb amp. Got it setup and playing perfectly and am enjoying it very much. My son tried setting his up and wasn't happy so told him to bring it over and set it up just like mine and he's real happy now. Trying to learn the blues finally and become accomplished at that.

Hello, mustanggt.

Nice introduction. There are many here with a similar story of returning to the guitar after a hiatus for this or that reason.

It surely must bring you great satisfaction to play and exchange techniques and knowledge with your son. Here's hoping you'll pass the experience on, and that you'll find helpful information and entertainment here in the Forum as well. Welcome. :D

Thank you for the warm welcome. My son is the one that can teach me something. He's a natural. He's a helluva bassist too. He likes guys like Victor Wooten, John Mayer, Jimi Hedrix and metal. He likes Hendrix so much he got a tattoo of him on his upper left arm which I'm not too thrilled about but he's an adult now so he can make his own choices.
