Hello everyone,

Bought myself a USA professional standard strat HSS this week, alder body, Crimson Red Transparent with rosewood fingerboard. (a GC special run)
It's my first real fender after a period of beefing up a squier. Really love the CRT color it's really dazzling. And the rosewood is nice and dark, just the way I like it. 8)
So a little about myself, I'm 35, and live in the netherlands and I'm a mediocre guitar player at best.
Music preference is blues, rock, alternative (ex: R.E.M., Black Keys, Nirvana, Coldplay, Offspring, Dire Straits, Springsteen, Green Day, Pearl Jam)
and some darker gothic stuff (ex: evanescence, the gathering, within temptation)(last two are dutch so if you never heard of them check them out)

Well that's about it.

Here's a picture of new arrival: (the picture doesn't do justice to the beauty of this guitar)

Very elegant guitar and that CRT sets it off perfectly.

There's been many tasty bands to call the Netherlands home. Diesel (with the original "Watts In A Tank" personnel lineup) is my favorite.

Welcome to the forum!

Another Netherlands' product that's tasty is the beer. In the 60s, I was in Portsmouth, England on a Canadian frigate. I treated some crew members of a Royal Netherlands' Navy frigate that tied up to our ship late in the evening. They asked if we had some of our famous Navy 180 proof rum on board, and, because I was still on watch, I turned them over to some of my mates that took care of things. Later that evening they returned the favour by an invitation to their ship, introducing me to ice cold Heineken. At the age of 18, too young for legal drinking in Canada, that was a special treat. :D
I know you will have plenty to offer too, Heruhur. Enjoy the Forum with your great guitar and welcome on board.
