I was born between Niagara and TO, so I'm happy to hear that you had a great time here Wood Man as I did in your neck of the woods during an exciting era. Being of age to hit the pubs over there, but not in Canada at that time, was a definite plus.

My Girlfriend was a Nanny in Mississauga back in 87/88. I went over for three weeks. What I saw of Niagara was gorgeous, and the falls were magnificent. We spent the Easter weekend staying on the Hull University Campus ( if memory serves ) ( in the dorms ) . Myself, my girlfriend and her friend ( a swiss Nanny : ) We hooked up with two Dutch guys while there. We went out to this club called Adams (again, if memory serves ) paid our admission and went in. To be greeted by large posters of women in bikinis and in the bar, wide circular tables that were low to the floor. It quickly became apparent that we had Paid to get into a Strip Club !. The Girls were NOT amused and quickly asked for a refund. Needless to say, our night ( the Lads) Crashed and burned from then on.

On another note, it was my first introduction to Pizza and a 24" one at that ! ( pizza pizza ) Thats what I call Living :D .

It must have been great to be a young adult back in the 60's. I missed that by about a decade and a half.

To the Mods. sorry if i am posting this in the wrong section. Don"t know how to move it.

Wood Man

Great story,Woodman. And yes, the 60s rocked on both sides of the ocean. Luckily I got to experience those days in North America, and with the British Invasion in your backyard. Fashion and trends were outa sight. While I was there I discovered Radio Caroline and pleasantly found it on the Net this year. Have a great time here with the gang.
