HI guys, greetings from Belgrade Serbia.
My first post, recently purchased a new American Special Stratocaster in candy apple red, after 15 years I'm electric again, since I sold my 79-80 all black standard Strat...fool...never got over it until I stumbled upon this guitar, it was made in 2013 by the number on the back of the neck.
Love the C shaped neck, satin finish and Texas special pickups, I play mostly Mark Knopfler style and it really laid on me.
Now I started playing 20 years ago when I was 13 and my first guitar was that black Strat from 79-80 with rose wood and I remember it had neck tilt option.
Well I made a break from playing last 6 years (a kid, wife and some finger problems), just occasionally played my beautiful acoustic Crafter with cedar top from 1998 that I love sooo much and my Takamine EG530C.
So my left hand regained its speed and technique fairly quickly, but right remained dead... Just starting to get better last few moths since I started playing again.
Music theory wanished from my head so now I'm learning again and remembering what I used to know and some new stuff.
Anyway it's great to be back!

Welcome to the forum.

There are numerous former guitar ex-pats here who've rejoined the fold after a lengthy absence so you're in good company.

Krazy how easy it is to forget when you put that guitar down. From the sounds of it you'll be back to speed in no time. Some of Fender's recent guitars, like yours, are nicely put together IMHO. Nice to have you here, Waymore.

Thanks guys for a warm welcome :D
"My fingerplay is working, gentle persuasion"

And yeah this Special surprised me how alive it is, it so vibrant, you can feel every note vibration in the neck and the body when you play it unplugged.

Anyway it feels great to rediscover guitar, like catching up with an old friend.
