Howdy Everyone! I am currently Learning to Play Guitar but progressing very well. I own a Fender Strat and a Fender Mustang IV V2 Amp. I don't know a whole lot about either one but Learning everyday. I have come here to meet Great Folks and Learn as much as I can and hopefully someday be able to help others who visit here. I'm nothing special, just an Ole Country Boy raised in Southeast Texas on a Farm. I have wanted to learn to play a Guitar all of my life but I didn't get the chance until I was 53. So Yup, I'm gettin Old....I drove a Truck Cross Country for many years while I was raising my 2 boys. I have recently changed my career and hope to have more time to learn to play my Guitar and also learn something about Amplifiers and making Nice Sounds. I read everything and can tell when it comes to Amplifiers, there's plenty of opinions, lol. I purchased my Mustang IV after several lengthy conversations with different folks and some of the reps from some of the retailers. For my purposes, I felt the Fender Mustang IV would serve my needs for many years to come and when I become a reasonable Guitar player, and learn more about sound I may establish my own opinion for the Next Amp. For now, I'm am happy to own Fender Equipment that serves me very well this far. I look forward to meeting everyone and establishing a friendship or two along the way. I live in La Porte, Texas a Suburb of Houston. Mickey Gilley is planning on building an Entertainment Venue here soon, I look forward to seeing that. I was just a kid when he had Gilleys in Pasadena, Tx and it was Closed by the time I was of age to Drive and See it. I'll get to see this one hopefully.

Welcome to the forum. Fender made great guitars for learning and to work as a professional.

I was in your country last year for a 2 weeks vacation. Far away from my Quebec.

Nice place and nice people. I enjoy it.

Hi SandyB53. Nice to have you here in the Forum. I too have a Strat and a Mustang IV (V1).

Amps are like ice cream. They come in all flavours and there's never enough. They're all good if you like them.

You'll find that your amp and Strat are well suited for each other IMHO, and the Mustang will give you lots of great options whether you want to learn about the other Fender amp characteristics, or simply to have fun with the options. The twin speakers and power will fill your room, and the amp will support playing with others. Best of all, it's still not featherweight, but light enough for us older guys.

Now get out that Strat and let us know how ya like it :D FSB

Tip: The amp sounds best when tweaked to your liking.
