Well, hello all! I've been around these boards for a little while after buying a Mustang III amp, but never made an introduction.

Have only been playing guitar (or doing anything musical) for a little over a year, yet in this time have self released two albums of original songs. While a total guitar noob, I have spent my life working as an artist and writer, so I see my songs in context of this instead of putting myself against all the musicians who are much better than me.

Although I want to get a Telecaster sometime, right now my main guitar is a semi-hollow body Epiphone Wildkat that I play through a Fender Mustang III -- gives a nice classic slightly rockabilly sound.

Anyway, Happy New Year everyone! :)

Rockabilly pretty much demands a Telecaster -- adding one to your gear arsenal should be New Year's Resolution #1.

Welcome to the forum......I'm just down the road from you.

Hahaha! Well, as much as I'd like to get a Tele right now, nothing screams rockabilly like a semi-hollow body, P-90's and Bigsby tremolo! Eddie Cochran:

Gear trivia: Cochran is credited as the first rocker to modify his instrument when he swapped out the neck humbucker for a Gibson P-90.

In this role, my Wildkat seems like a good entry level choice:

Of course, it doesn't get much hotter than Poison Ivy with her Gretsch!

PS Cool! I drive through Tombstone from time to time... go out shooting photos of abandoned places out in the AZ wasteland!

Lucky for those other greaser dudes that we don't have a full head of dyed hair like Elvis. Nobody would even notice them. We'd out rockabilly them. ROTFL. Rockabilly on, Mark

I'm originally from south of Tucson. I lived in an eclectic little hippie community called Arivaca.
