Hello folks,
quick background ( just so when I get lost on a subject , it's more that I am outdated rather than new..or maybe new reborn)
During the 70s & early 80s I was on the road in a reasonable band & on the circuit .
While heading to a job in Sac cal , a semi T boned the van I was driving, went through the side and inside the cab , hitting right at the back rest of my seat. That, of course, put me out of the game.. many months later , the studio we worked with asked me if I'd like to come back and work with them, gave it a try but the white noise and brain to hand damage simply made it a no go ...I didn't even listen to music for decades in a funk...
several years of this and that w/ the docs and I at least got rid of the bulk of the white noise.. a few months ago , I needed to pick up my guitar(s) from a " safe" storage to find out several had been stolen along w/ amps etc.. my 71 tele had been messed with but was still there, the 69 was one of those missing..fumbling around a bit here and there , I finally picked up a super champ to use at the house . I am completely lost on all the new everything out there..still trying to get some sense of mechanics to form in my head and hands, slow but sure.. ran into the forums this morning so I thought I'd pop in and see what I see here maybe pick some brains or at least eavesdrop a bit..
..not a sob story, just a background ..

Thanks for " listening" hope to eventually fit in somewhere here

No sweat, Zen......you'll "fit" just like a comfortable pair of Converse All-Stars.

Rawk on!

Welcome to the Forum Zen. Interesting story. Glad that you're alright. Sounds like you play guitar. You'll fit right in here. Have fun!

Hello, Zen.

Your story reminded me of my wife's cousin who's crew van (for a major recording group) was in a big accident after several back to back concerts from town to town with long days and nights taking its toll. Fortunately, they were spared further tragedy and all survived. All too often this and other such accidents happen on tour, and they often go untold or unnoticed. Truckers are also in the same boat.

Thankfully, you are back in the swing, and it's good to have you here, Zen. Enjoy, the Forum.
