Hello my name is Marvo, i learned a bit of acoustic when i was 10 years old for maybe 2 or 3 years, and i have been mostly on a long plateau skillwise for half a century. I have loved guitars and live music since i can remember (Fender made a big formative impression) but life got in the way.

I recently started again (now with so many tutorial resources on-line and Garageband etc, and other tech, we live in exciting times with so many more oportunities to learn) and have embarked upon a new relationship with the guitar.

I am lucky enough to have a Strat Elite and an Acoustasonic Tele, a couple of amps, an old Washburn acoustic and a Kala Thinline Tenor Uke, and an understanding wife.

My inspirations are probably Hendrix, Dylan, Gilmour, Springsteen and more recently John Mayer. However my roots are probably in folk. So I'm basically a beginner, but in some ways not so much.

Thanks for having me.

Hi Marvo, welcome to the forum.

I started out in the folk world but don't really get to connect with it these days.
