Jeff here, just joined today from Somerville, MA...where we have plenty of craft beer, bearded hipsters, heck, we even have an axe throwing bar! What could possibly go wrong?!
My first guitar was a Fender Lead I, bought used in 1982-83.
Still have it today, and now that I'm older and wiser (but mostly older) I'm going to bring it back to life.
Anyone who can help me source parts for it, please let me know - I'm presently hunting for a pickup cover, mine (apparently) has the original pickup, but since Iv'e had it the cover's always been missing. Boo!
Otherwise, lots of goodness waiting to be rediscovered.
Pretty sure the last thing I played on this was Round and Round by Ratt.

I have many other Fenders including a very sexy '73 P/J fretless bass...perhaps I'll post some pics soon.
Promise they won't be so stupid big next time.

Thx for the warm welcome! Gradually bringing the lead I back to life, just finished polishing the frets and now waiting on some replacement saddles that should arrive tonight. Soon I'll be stringin' it up for a test run!

Hey there, Jeff. Sorry I’m late for the party. Hope I still get an invite to welcome you. :D
Anyhoo, I did look up your pickup(s) and they would appear to be Seth Lover pickups from the time CBS was building those Lead guitars. The Lead guitars would eventually be replaced by Japanese Fenders, in particular Squire JVs and there are plenty of stories about the CBS Fender buyout and how it questionably transitioned with left over parts. I don’t believe Seth pups made it to the land of the rising sun, although nothing is certain. Maybe, a clone is out there for a replacement cover. Seth also had relations with Gibson and PAF pups, but I don’t think that’ll help, nor might his connection with Seymour Duncan in this case. Although, Seymour Duncan or Fender Support might be able to point you in the right direction or give you advice what to look for and maybe where. With any luck someone here might know. I’m afraid only measurements and a match are the only thing I can suggest.

Best of luck, Jeff.
