What's the gear ratio on vintage style MIM tuners. I Have them on my deluxe players strat and baja tele. I'm thinking about up grading to better tuners. Thanks in advance.
I've been trying to access this site on my phone and the inter phase is awful compared to the past.

I waited a little, in case someone has a direct answer, but nope, so here's my 2c.

I don't know the ratio on those guitars, but it's easy to check for yourself.
Just (optional: take one string off), mark the position of the tuner pole, wind the tuner, counting how many turns it takes before the pole has made one full round.
"Vintage" in tuner language usually translates to lower ratios; 12:1 to 14:1 (it also translates to design styles, but let's leave that for now), but I'll gues you get 15:1.
Both your guitars have tuners made by Ping; the Strat Fender part# 0053276000; and the Tele part# 0047912000 just in case you want to "Find all the parts and accessories you need with the help of a dedicated Fender specialist at 1-800-856-9801"

One key (pun intended) question here is, why do you want a tuner upgrade.
If you want higher ratio (18:1, 20:1...) for more precision in tuning, or want locking tuners, OK.
But if you upgrade because you have problems with the guitars staying tuned, I suggest looking for reasons elsewhere.

Thanks for the tip for figuring out my gear ratio. I'll try that when I change my strings. I was just thinking about finer tuning. My MIA deluxe Hss Strat is much easier to fine tune than either of my MIMs. I don't want to do any drilling in my head stock, and so far the only tuners I can find that will fit the guitars as is are 15:1.
The made in MIMs sound nice. I'm happy with them but am just thinking about upgrading parts. I like the pick-ups, so tuners seemed a nice start. I also ordered some new pick guards, but I'm gonna have to drill a hole for the S-1 switching.
