Hi, someone offered me an old Fender Presicion bass, i'm trying to figure out the right price, so your opinions would come in very handy, it is from the 70's(as i checked the serial number), VERY road worn, but functional, pups sound good, it needs some work on the hard ware, anyway i don't know what the right price would be....only problem is, someone applied varnish on the back of the neck....there's a luthier i know who could sand it off....i've heard that drops the price a bit, right?, one more question, this bass' truss rod's cavity isn't by the headstock but by its body, do you know what era is that feature from? thanks a lot beforehand, once i figure out how to post pics i'll do so...

Willy Reyes.
