I would like to practice into the night and I live in an apartment and I have neighbours.

I need to use headphones and unplug the amp speaker. (That is not the problem)
The line-out plug on the amp is mono, so I bought a 1/4" male mono / 1/8" female stereo adaptor and plugged my stereo headphones into the adaptor.
The problems: no sound in headphones; unpredictable behaviour of the channel selector, tap feature cuts out.

Removing the adaptor resolves the problems.

I'd like to know if there is a way to do this compatible with the electronics of the amp.
Super champ X2.

There's a 1/4" plug that can be unplugged - I thought that's what it was for.

You can plug another speaker if you want , but always need a speaker or a load . The plug is not for silencing the amp .
