I have a blues Junior III amp and I want to run it through my Yamaha PA system and be able to use amp's sound controls. could someone please advise me if this is possible and how I would do it? I don't want to damage my lovely Fender Amp hence the question
The PA System is a Yamaha Stagepas 400i
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going a bit out of my comfort zone, but:
Your amp would need to have a line-out jack installed. That's a job for a pro.

You're not as likely to fry your amp as you are the PA system! The simplest way to do this, which will retain your guitar tone, distortion and all, is to use a high attenuation pad between the speaker leads and the input of the PA amp. An L pad consisting of a 10,000 ohm resistor in series and a 10 ohm resistor in parallel (with the 10k resistor facing the speaker) will give you a good starting point to work with. If you really want to get picky, you can use an isolation transformer, but it's usually not necessary. Just be sure you have the ground side of the speaker(s) connected to the low side of the line input, (assuming it's unbalanced)
