Hey everyone,

I've recently been having an issue with my Blues Junior. When the master volume is turned up above 1, certain low frequencies cause the amp to crackle and pop. I've attached a video if you'd like to hear the beautiful spluttering sound: https://vimeo.com/user99684889/review/3 ... 8b3be195ac

I thought initially that it may have been a problem with the tubes, so I replaced all 5 of them but the frequency based sputtering continued.

I'm not really interested in joining a noise rock, or lo-fi, band so any advice would be very greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone!

There are two causes of frequency related problems. One is tubes. Seems like you addressed that.
The other is speaker issues. Since its a newer unit, try tightening the speaker screws. Not too tight, but snug. Then look for loose chassis screws.
The speaker could also have the spider wires too close to the cone. If the side of the wire touches the cone, it can make a racket.
So can a pick dropped into the backside of a speaker. Put it on its back and shake it out.
