Hello.
I pulled out my reverb knob on my hot rod deluxe as i didn’t see the little screw on the actual knob until after. it pulled out the little silver bar also (i’m not sure what to call it). i put it back in and then it will not grip no matter what i do. there’s been multiple times where i feel like it is gripping but the reverb doesn’t change. is there anyway i can fix this??

thank you

You remove the shaft ? You destroy the pot and need a new one :( + labour = $$

You are in the wrong sub-forum, post on Vintage Guitar Amplifiers (anything before 1985) sub forum

Sorry for maybe being a bit harsh, but based on the case history so far, do not DIY.

Take the amp to a pro. If the pot is the only thing broken, it's not a very expensive repair.

A half (or max one) hour labor, ten monetary units for the pot - maybe another ten for the knob.
Price of learning...

In general, re: "pulled out the knob"...
Don't fix it if it ain't broke. That's the best advice I know.
And there are plenty of instructions in the web for just about everything, so diving in blind but forceful is a bad idea.

Edit: And once again sorry for the OP if I seem harsh. But been there, done that myself - I had to learn before the information super highway times.

That's called the shaft or sometimes the post.
You pulled it right through the pot.
That must have taken some effort.
I'd love to see the video if you shot any.

That's because you ripped the pot apart and now it is broken and needs to be replaced.

You?
Not likely.
A qualified amp repair tech?
Sure.

Hey, no problem.
I quite enjoyed reading your post.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
