Strats can have compound radius necks with a nut width of 1.6875“ (or aka 1- 11/16 inches), as many here are well aware. (Same for Gibson traditional nut width)

Similarly, several Taylor’s have 1-11/16 inch neck width which at one time, contrary to some thinking, was quite common for guitars.

Perhaps, this is a consideration as to the OP’s challenge.

Checking the string separation at the nut on my Strat versus the Taylor is almost, but not quite, 1/16th of an inch more for the Strat, with the Taylor being 1/4 inch separation between strings at the nut. This could happen easily, but it is so small a difference as is. However, the Taylor uses 13 gauge strings and the Strat uses 9 stock; but, I replaced those with 10s. I must say that chording is, even with those subtle changes (and, perhaps, some neck and fret profile feel or mojo), different.

It took me a bit of a learning curve to adjust to the compound radius of the Strat, and playing that E minor chord seemed difficult at first. The acoustic still is a little unnatural, but doable. Would changing the gauge of the Taylor strings have some influence? My guess is that it would. That would not be practical, however. IMHO. The Strat? Easy peasy now, and I like it. E minor is no longer a major issue. :D I play E minor with 13 gauge strings in a 1-11/16 inch nut, and I’m thinking of working my way into using 16 gauge Dick Dale strings. Just kidding. Now THAT would be an E minor!
