So I'm not sure if this is in the wrong forum- but this is my first post here so sorry if it is. I have a supposed stratocaster that I bought off of my uncle for dirt cheap. The only issue is that it has no neck and no serial number so I can't get the year and type. Can any of you help? That would be greatly appreciated. Also, I need to find a neck for sub-$50 so if anyone of you know where I can find one please link that too...

Ps-- how do I post images? Again sorry I'm new to this

1. It's pretty hard without a neck. You can tell whether it's Mexican or American by taking the pickguard off and looking below the horn on the right side. If there's one deep circle in between two shallower ones, it's Mexican. Newer American ones will generally have just one deep hole and older American strats or vintage ones will have no holes. Let us know if there any writing or scribble at all in the neck pocket, if the back neck plate has three or four screws, if the bridge has two or six screws, if pickguard has 11 holes or not, the style of bridge saddle (e.g. Vintage or modern style), the colour, and any other information.

+1

Detailed photos would be a *BIG* help.

Edit: As my PS; avoid pic hosting sites with too many ads, popups and so on. Lately, I've grown to hate PhotoBucket a lot...
