The title says it all really. I have been a drummer for 15 years now and for how much I love drumming, my neighbours hate it haha!

I have always tried to learn guitar but work, life and drumming has always got in the way.

Now though I have decided I want to learn guitar before I am 30, I am 28 just now so plenty time!

I am looking at doing what I done when I first started learning Drums, basically get in person lessons to learn the basics then learn the rest through online videos and lessons. When looking at Drum lessons online its generally only Drumeo that I have used so looking for something similar.

So, are there any suggestions for online guitar lessons other than Jamplat and Guitar tricks?

Check out JamPlay. They have a tremendous amount of lessons from beginner to advanced. They cover all the genre and are taught by excellent instructors. There is an artist series and song instructions. There are free lessons but you get Web lessons live with chat if you join.

Drumbum.com has lots of free lessons for drums. Justin Sandercoe with Justinguitar.com and Carl Brown with guitarlessons365.com are excellent websites for free guitar lessons. Youtube has lots of great videos. Make sure to read the comments and look at the ratio of likes/dislikes before watching a video.

The guitar is a percussive instrument just like drums.

Learn the EADGC system 1st and apply your knowledge
of rhythm to it and your done.
