I have a 2 watt, 8 ohm Fender Greta Amplifier that I would like to use for a home practice amp but with the 4 inch speaker it has it is not enough. I also have 2 small speaker cabinets with blown speakers.

My question is would it be better to buy a single 8 ohm speaker or 2 - 4 ohm speakers wired in series to hook to this amp ?

Either method would maintain impedance-load compatibility with the amp so it's merely a question of how much money you wish to spend.

I've driven a 2 x 15 Dual Showman cabinet with a six-watt Vibro Champ and it sounded positively monstrous.
