Is the speaker sim on the line out an additional bit of processing for the signal or is it the same 'dsp cab sim' that is already present on all the voices?

And if it isn't a unique bit added to the Line Out signal then does that mean there is always some speaker sim on the output of channel 1? I would assume it is a model of a 10" Champ cab sim of some sorts.

If not that then Line Out from Channel 1 is a preamp model with "no cab" which would play nice with a Two Notes Torpedo CAB or other ir host...

My main reason for wanting to know is I'm contemplating using the Line Out to create a Wet/Dry rig where the wet side (line out) also goes to a looper...then ultimately to be amplified by a power amp and cab or else a powered floor monitor...thus my need to know when I'm dealing with a cab sim or not...

My experience with recording the X2 line out is great fidelity to what I hear coming out of the amp in the room. I find it to be a what you hear is what you get on the line out. I really like it.

Ok, I got to try it out.
There is no way to turn off any cab sim on the clean channel but the Fuse software will let you turn it off in the Line Out for channel 2 and the models sound pretty good with third party ir's. Better than the stock cabs.
I'm guessing the stock cabs are eq'd to work with the actual speaker and 6v6 power section so it is no fault of the Superchamp/Fender that they can be improved on if you use a third party IR host for recording.

I wouldn't say the models are, by themselves, anything worth spending much time on this way but, on the other hand, it is another palette full of colors for the home studio for free....

Using the line out for wet/dry and/or as a looper feed works great too.

I'm nervous that this might be a dense question but I have never used the line out feature yet.

I own an ISA Pre One. It has a DI input. Is that where I should plug the line out of the amp into? Is the signal coming out of the amp a DI signal?

thanks.
