I have the feeling that, while I can hook up the Champ X2 to FUSE and do all kinds of modifications to the particular voicing, the only thing you can save is the amp model in any of the 16 positions. Like I can save a Twin model in voice 16 for example, and it sticks. But any tonal changes or effects changes cannot be saved to use when the Champ is disconnected from FUSE. Am I wrong?

My Fuze setting stay in the amp after I save them to the amp. The hardware tone, volume, and gain controls are not settable in Fuze they only work as they are set on the amp face.

You can only save the settings in Fuze to the amp that are software based, even though the hardware volume, tone controls and gain controls are seen in Fuze, you can not save those to the amp. The mid controls and anything else that is not on the amps actual hardware face is savable to the amp.

Thanks desertbluesman. I must not have been saving things correctly then. In my case I opened up voice 16 and changed the amp to a Twin. then I added a reverb AND delay (to be on at the same time). I managed to save voice 16 as a Twin, but the effects were gone. I'll have to fool around again, but if I understand your response, I could save the mid tone knob setting and any off the effects offered in Fuse permanently on the amp when disconnected.

I think you got the idea. Just fool with Fuze a while, and things will become clearer. I do everything by trial and error over and over again till I get the idea. Then if all else fails I read the manual.......

You have to save the reverb / effects settings to one of the effects positions to the right of the amp. So for every chain you have to save BOTH the amp and then the effects.

This is one of the things most folks struggle with when they start using this amp. The upside is you can then use that effects setting with any of the amp models. The two are not tied to each other

Hi All,

We wanted to chime in here and suggest that you have a read through of the linked Fender® Knowledgebase here. This should provide some clarification on using your amp with Fender FUSE™, programming, etc. And please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan
