Hey all…

I rarely use voices 10-15 and was wondering if anyone has any convincing amp voices of their own that you might be willing to share the settings of (Silverface Fenders, other Fender amps, Ampegs, other Boogies, etc) I'm looking to replace 10-15 with "other" amps in the low to mid gain category that have unique personalities. Any suggestions/help/settings would be great. There's nothing to speak of on Fuse that I could find, just settings for artist tones.

Cheers, JG

Great idea for a thread. I am with you, I do use 10 on occasion, and I use 16 for acoustic, but wouldn't mind finding some alternatives for the rest of the ones above 9.

I use 13 the Super Sonic Burn. I turned the cab to the Twin 2-12 model in Fuze as well as tweaking the mids and second gain feature the gain knob I set as far as it goes up. I use that one exclusively for the second channel, and I tweaked the Mids in the clean channel down to 5, instead of dimed which is the factory setting.

I use channel 1 for all of my cleans, and channel 2 for all of my overdrives. I use only the reverb the last one before off, I think that is the classic fender spring verb. I set the reverb amount at about 2. I don't use any of the other features in the amp myself. Just clean and overdrive, both with a little verb on all of the time.

My hardware tone control settings are trebs on 3 and bass on 2. Usually with the volume knobs at 4 on the cleans, and 2.5 on the overdrive. (For in house practice)

I find that settings are completely different depending on instrument - humbucker or single coil, semiacoustic/solidwood etc.

Or is it that I don't get it's Fender guitars?

I have a bunch of guitars, and even many of my Strats are unconventional… one has an Alembic preamp and two have humbuckers in the bridge… the one I'm working on now actually has three humbuckers. I also play SGs, and other humbucker equipped guitars…

I was just wondering if anyone had found some baseline settings using the existing amp models and some tweaks and thought, "man, that sound just like a _____________ amp."

I actually have two of them, a head and the combo and they both sound different through different cabinets and through the stock 10" speaker. I also run the combo through a custom cab with a Jensen C12K (yanked from a TRRI). The head is run through another custom cab loaded it an Eminence Cannabis Rex… they all yield different sonic characteristics. I would agree that every guitars sounds different though the amp… I was just hoping that maybe someone had discovered some other amps by messing with the amp models and EQs… like say a Matchless.

Years ago my girlfriend's little brother had this rack mount Boss unit that had the sweetest sounding Matchless preset and the overdrive/distortion was to die for… but I digress.

8) HAPPY THANKSGIVING FOLKS!

I agree, great ideea for thread, I agree, totally different sounds concerning pickups (HB or SC) or speakers. So... many options to test! Great for who's got time...
I use a 15" Eminence Delta 15A (for PA) if need jazz or acoustic sound, 10" Ragin' Cajun for blues/rock. Differences... For Overdriven sounds, depends very much if I play my Epi Sheraton, Affinity Tele (with GFS humbuckers) or FSR 62 Strat (vintage single coils)... Each of them needs other settings.
