It's a Direct out (DI) That's real handy.

I really don't get it... The Out volume is corelated with general volume. Shouldn't it be a Line Out with fixed volume? Is it better like that? Doesn't seem to, at least for my needs... If I want to record I need to get it louder for a better recording, that means I will disturb my neighbours... So it is not good enough for home recording... Only studios. Hmm...

Hi

Can I use the Line Out with headphones?

Does it cut off the external speaker if I do?

Regards,

You can use headphones, the line out it is not stereo. The speaker will still be engaged.

It is not designed that way. I guess some kind of dummy load could be used but, that's above my pay grade.

Most tube amps are like this. Very few exceptions.

How about this: >> http://www.amazon.co.uk/eForCity-HEADPHONES-ADAPTER-Compatible-Samsung/dp/B002YGV19W/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1394126818&sr=8-16&keywords=amp+headphones

Connect at the back of the X2?

it sounds like you are inquiring about the same thing I ask about in a previous thread. It would be great to have separate vol control for the line out.
