Thought I'd start a new section for anyone that may be interested in
going this route. Pretty easy to do. I removed the upper back cover
(the one with the tube guard) Then I laid the amp on it's side and
positioned the leg with about 1/4" gap top and bottom. I moved the pivot
hole 2" from the rear edge and drilled the pivot hole. Make sure the bit is
the size of the bolt not the hole in the leg. I put one washer between
the amp and the arm and put the crush washer and flat washer in front
of the nut inside and tightened them up (I have 2 flat washers left over).
Same deal for the second leg. With both legs attached I pivoted them back
until the amp was at the angle I wanted. Then I placed a straight edge on
the floor making sure it rested against the back of both legs. Standing up
and using the back of the amp as a guide I made sure that each leg was
extended square to the amp. Then it was simply a mater of screwing in
the two stops (without moving the ams) and it was done.

Here are a couple of shots:

Even though the leg in the first shot, looks longer than the amp, it isn't.

You are welcome.
From a sound standpoint this is one of the better and easier mods to do. That said, these Fender legs are very solid, so what is already a surprisingly heavy little amp becomes a tad more so!

Looks good amigo nice work. I have an amp stand that I would use if taking the amp out but what you did was pretty cool and no need to carry an extra stand.

Thanks..... I hate having to carry gear so simplifying the load is the
way to go in my book!
I just ordered a set of metal corners for the amp. I figure tilting on
carpet is no big deal but tilting on a hard stage will eventually rip up
the tolex along the back edge.

Yeah. every thing you have to lug around is a pain. The tilt back legs are an excellent idea, One less thing to schlep in and out.

tim3255, would you measure and post the measurements for the holes from top and back for both the legs and the leg stops. I am now thinking on getting a pair for my SCX2, and since you already did that work it may make it easier for those of us that would also like to do that. If so thanks for your efforts on our behalf.

Happy to oblige but the measurements are pretty obvious once the legs
are laid out on the amp. The 14" legs offer only about 1/4" clearance top
and bottom, so that's pretty much set in stone. I found placing the leg
2" from the back edge of the amp to the center of the pivot hole, to be
the 'correct' position to drill that hole.

As to the tilt, I think each individual owner has an idea of how much tilt
they'd like on their amp. Luckily the legs will hold the amp in the tilted
position without the stop, so positioning it is pretty easy.
I had no idea where the stop should go so I placed it almost at the top of
the extended leg and called it a day.

But when I get home tonight I'll post the measurements I used.

Thanks Tim, I would like to have the measurements because it looks to me like you got the tilt angle just right for what I would think is the best position for a small stage.

OK here we go with the measurements. Please keep in mind that I just lined
everything up the way it made sense to me and while it looks like I kinda got
it right, it was all pretty much done by the seat of my pants!

Since the top edge is curved a little I laid a ruler along it and measured to there.

The leg pivot is 2" from the back edge and 3 1/4" from the top.
The stop is 4 3/8" from the back and 2 1/4" from the top.

Remember when drilling the pivot, to size the drill bit for the bolt and not the
hole in the leg.
Threading the washers and tightening the nut on the transformer side is a
bit of a pain but it does clear.

Good luck to all but I doubt you'll need it!

Thanks for the info amigo.

One question; Are the measurements from the top or bottom of the curve on the cab?

Best I could find was $34 I think. And 39.99 at the on line retail stores.
