I love my SCX2 Combo and really not all that into my Blues Junior.. much prefer the sound of the SC so, I sold the Blues Junior and ordered a head version as well for my second amp. ( I keep two amps with different guitars plugged into any one time) and going to plug this into a 1 x 12 cab. Trying to decide what to get as a extension cab, the SC 1 x 12 or another. I really like the stock speaker in the SC Combo so if I get the SC112 I will definitely give those speakers a try, but also liking what I hear about the Eminence Red, White Blue and the Cannabis Rex.

Since I am a bass player it might have something to do with me liking a clean, firm bottom. (Did that come out right? :P) Once I started upping the volume the stock speaker showed limitations. So much so that there was a loss of clarity and a clash of non-complimentary harmonics. This was beyond simple speaker farts. Couple that reality with my love of the harmonics produced by alnico speakers and the stock had to go. When I can have two speakers, I like one alnico and one regular type. Each one has something there other doesn't and coupled properly a true joyful noise can be made. A Weber Signature 8" with my stock Bugera 8" is a case in point. The Bug has great bottom presence and the Weber has none, but the upper registers of the Weber are clear and can produce an order of harmonics that are their own guitar choir. I love listening to a chord or note decay while it sings itself into the aethers. The stock Fender has a very nice balance to it at moderate volumes that will hold up longer if one likes their tone a little more treble heavy.

I will soon buy and experiment with the new Eminence 8" hemp speaker for my Bugera. It will be my first hemp cone, but I am liking what I am hearing from them. If I ever get a 2x12 cab extension for my SCX2 it will probably be a cannabis rex with a canis major. Both are hemp cones and one is an alnico.

Thanks Modwiz... I don't gig or anything so I don't get the volume up much past 5 on mine and I play a tele twanger so like you said, that probably enhances it. No doubt a speaker change would enhance it... on my combo I don't think it's worth it but I will probably end up doing so on the 12" cab.
