Dear Fender, on the next version of the Super-Champ, please include a standby switch and a mid-range knob. Also add clean boost stomp box option to channel one in Fuse. These mods should add only $20 or so to retail and the SC would still be the best amp anywhere near its price.

Any chance the SC x3 will be on the market soon? Thnx.

Great ideea this post!
I would rather prefer a Line Out that I can use without beeing modified by the General Volume. I mean, to use it with volume at minimum, so I can only tape it silently through the night. Pure Line Out connection.
Thank you in advance!

I definitely agree about adding a mids knob.

So, the X2 is a projection/wish? Has Fender made mention of this and I missed the announcement?

No question, a mid knob on the amp would be useful and welcome. Although, my mid setting tends to be static and having one a can set is handy. Middle was not an option of the simpler amps like this. This amp reminds me more of a Princeton than a Champ because of the speaker size.

My suggestion is; Also add a presence control in Fuze for the clean channel.

my wish list would be: tweed covering option, a real straight - thru tube channel one (since there's so much confusion about that already!), and a footswitch that cycles through several effects not just on and off.

Ok, that's it. let me know when its ready!

I'll add a request for an effects loop. That way, those of us who prefer to use this like a traditional amp, and not have to hook it up to the computer, can change up effect order and tweak effects more effectively. ( the fx combos especially, leave something to be desired, as far as adjustability.) I love the reverb on it, and normally just leave it in the spring or hall setting.

Other than that, I wouldn't change much, other than adding a mids control.

I find myself enjoying the simplicity of the single knob clean channel.

All good ideas that could probably be added without much trouble or cost. Some might already be wired into the chip.

The X2 is a great amp as is and I'm buying a second to go stereo. I have the head.

I've seen posts where people complain about volume. Put a little pedal in front, run thru a decent speaker and this baby gets painfully loud.

Thanks Fender.

I tried the X2 through one of my EVM12L speakers and it almost did a 1/4 jump in volume level. I do not know how the Lil Buddy I put in compares to the stock speaker as I was not paying attention to the volume level of the stock speaker that day. But the EV sure did improve the loudness factor by a wide margin.

How about being able to attenuate the USB output from Channel 1. It is set way too high, even with the USB GAIN knob set at 0 in Fuse I still get clipping unless I use a pedal with adjustable volume or turn the volume down on my guitar, which I don't always want to do.

Ok I have one.

One of the things I really like is the built in effects, saves me hauling a pedal board around and the effects are actually very good.

I would however like the ability to have more then one delay in the chain. I play a bit of Surf music and one of the keys to getting some of the Ventures type sounds is to feed one delay into another one, one on a short time, the other fast, gives that shimmering sound. ( Same kind of thing The Edge does in U2 ).

I love the reverb on this model. I thought I'd play it mostly clean but the effects are actually very nice. I think nicer than on the Mustang series.

I think having 2 8ohm outs on this would be incredible. I frequently use this with a 4x12 and the sound goes from awesome to mind blowing. Considering its such an affordable amp.

The ability to use Fender's four-button footswitch to turn individual effects on and off (like can be done with the Mustang III and up) would be huge to me, as it would mean I could finally ditch using real pedals in front of the amp.

A mids knob would be a nice addition. I find that I often adjust the mids in FUSE to accommodate different guitars (single coils vs. humbuckers, for example).

Adding a knob or two would probably necessitate a larger chassis. Putting the X3 into a Princeton Reverb-sized chassis and cabinet, while retaining the same 10" speaker, would keep the small and light form factor while providing additional body and low-end resonance to the sound.
