I just ordered the Super Champ x2 combo. Can't wait to get it.
I was wonder if anyone had looked it up to a 4x12 cabinet.

I have a 4x12 cabinet that I would like to use with it at home(16 ohm Cabinet-4-16ohm speakers). Looks like the back of the amp says (8Ω/15W minimum). I dont think you get 8ohms out of 4 - 16 ohms speakers. Is my only option re-wiring 2 speakers in the cabinet to get 8 ohms and just using 2 of the 4?

All I can say is, I would do it. What is the ohmage of the cabinet? How speakers are wired matters. Typically half of, or double the rated wattage is traditionally acceptable.

Of course, traditionally, amps were more robust.

What I would do and what might be correct might not be the same. I have a SCX2.
I am answering because this thread category is quiet and it is after bankers hours on a Friday. The earliest reply you will get from Fender will be when bankers return to their jobs on Monday.

Besides, they have fires to put out with the latest Mustang releases.

Hi l22,

We are happy to assist. Please contact us directly and we would be happy to go over the specific details of the cabinet you are looking at and let you know whether or not it should be compatible. Thanks.

Best Regards,

I re-wired 2 of the speakers to get 8 ohms. It sounds
really good. I'm not playing any gigs, just playing at home.
I guess I will build a cabinet if I start playing anywhere
