Was out of town all week and just got back in town Thursday night. Plugged it in yesterday for the first time. Didn't like the sound of Channel 1 right off but really liked most of the Channel 2 stuff. Today I hooked up the software and taking Snow Leopards advice adjusted the mid... oh yeah huge difference on Channel 1. Love that channel all buy itself and most of the clean amps needed the mid setting changed as well. Just some really cool stuff. Couple favorites here.... the 59 bassman makes my Tele sound more like a strat in clean mode. When I dirty that channel up it makes a great CCR sound. Love the Fender Blackface presets.... Princeton and Deluxe Reverb are my favorites. Love the Super Sonic as well. Made myself and little preset I call Waymore... which has a little phaser added and reverb for the Waylon sound. Also a Rockabilly preset on the Bassman clean with some tape delay and some reverb. Love it. What a great amp! What I wanted was the head and cabinet but got the combo. Still thinking I might get the 1 x 12 cabinet and use either or. Fun stuff playing with the software making presets and adjusting the sounds to my liking. Don't know much about using Chorus or Compressors.

Oh by the way when I first turn on the amp and it's on channel 1 ... i hear a little crackling and some scruffy noise .. not just hiss. Only for a few minutes and seems to go away once tubes are warmed up. Is this normal?

Thanks!

Corey

I'm not sure it's "normal" but my SCX2 head does the same thing... it does stop after a few minutes though so I haven't been too worried about it.
