Well, I ditched my Fender Mustang III this morning in trade for an acoustic guitar for the little lady. The MIII never served as a great practice amp as it really begged to be turned up and it's a LOUD little sucker. I also found it distracting to play with... I ended up playing with buttons, foot switches and knobs more than just playing guitar. It also began suffering from the dreaded fizz, especially with humbucker equipped guitars.

I've been loving my SCX2 head and custom made cab so much I thought I'd opt for a combo, as I'm in the process of building another custom cab. The speaker out on the combo is what sold me on it... I can either run it as-is, great for bringing it to jam buddies' houses, or connect it to the new cabinet, which I'm planning on loading a 12" Eminence Cannabis Rex into.
The icing on the cake is the new FSR version with the Blonde tolex and Oxblood grill cloth... very cool! 8)

I'll be sure to try and get a few vids up of the Combo and of the amp driving the new cab when it's all here and cab's finished... which may not be anytime soon. The cabinet is coming along slowly and my schedule has been hectic as of late.

Here's the cab so far... I've yet to make the speaker baffle or port the back, it's currently wide open. I think it looks sweet thus far though.

I have mounted my SCX2 chassis into a old line 6 112 cabnet running a Celestian 12 lead 80 speaker and it really honks!

Got home from work and TADA! Here she is (admittedly not the best photo). Anyhow, it sounds fantastic and looks sweet as can be. Check out the video of her in action too if you like... I'm going to get back to playing it now!

Yeah, it's the stock speaker... I wouldn't change the one in the amp, it sounds great as it. I'm curious if the ohms are ok to run it through my twin reverb.... I still haven't checked.

Here's another vid playing an Epi G-400 through the SCX2... the chorus & delay effects are from my pedal chain, not the amp. Cheers.
