I am thinking about buying the Superchamp X2 Head and cab set up. My question, does the channel one in combination with the effects give an easy to configure rockabilly sound with nice reverb and some slap back delay? If so any sound samples out there?

thanks!

Corey

Yes it does a great slapback.

using the Fuse program i set up the spring reverb and mono tape style delay.

I was going for early Jimmy page, but ended up with a really nice slapback, mid 50s , rockabilly tone.

Channel 1 is classic clean Fender and takes pedals very well.

I don't have any samples uploaded and tonight I am too lazy to do so.

As I stated in previous posts, using the Fuse software to set up your sound is crucial.

For the price you can't beat this amp.

Thanks SL. I think this will be a great amp for me. I have a Blues junior which also does clean great, but has no drive channel per se. The X2 will kill a lot of birds with one stone. Thanks for the help!

I have only had my x-2 for 3 days, but it is a great amp. Hearing it used in a heavy metal setting by another user, andygutmonkey, was impressive. I never heard such a heavy sound be so distinct. All crunch and no mush.

It seems this amp can give you just about any sound you can want. Only our tonal configuration skills present a possible weak link. No one seems to be having that problem.

hey. you can def get a great slapback tone. if the onboard effect doesnt hit it just like you want you go into fuze and configutre it till its exactly what uou want. you might have to spend some time dialing it in but once youre there store it in the amp and then its always there when you need it.
thanks for the kind words modwiz!
cheers

Hey, Andy. I am finding out that following your posts is a rewarding experience. "What Does It Take?" on ukelele was brilliant!
