I've been playing my X2 head thru my Blues Deluxe's 12 inch speaker and getting great tone. Has anyone tried it with a 15 inch speaker? I considering getting a cabinet with a 15 inch speaker.
thanks

Hi 2gary@fender,

A 15" speaker/cab (8ohm) should work fine. In regard to which cabinet and tone differences, I do not have a specific recommendation. The one thing you will want to keep in mind is to be sure that whatever cabinet you use is an 8ohm load. Please let us know if we can assist further.

I used my X2 to power a 15" cab and it did nothing for me. Granted, I have a high wattage bass speaker set for a more flat/even response. The guitar speaker manufacturers have all kinds of tonal colorations with their speakers. I am sure there are a few 15" speakers that would sound absolutely awesome. I wonder how the Excelsior speaker would sound?

The X2 running my 4x8 cab w/ a small tweeter was delicious. Ooh baby, did I like that sound.
