I love the Super Champ X2. It's awesome. I'm using the Fender Fuse with it and that's great too. Is there a manual for the Fender Fuse that can describe the various foot pedal (delay, reverb, compressor etc.) knobs that can be adjusted via the fuse? I'm familiar with some of the knobs, but a maual would be great. For example, what do all the knobs mean on the 65 reverb?
Thanks

You may have good luck studying the amps and effects that Fender is modeling.

For instance, the bias knob adjusts how hot the tubes run but I didn't know that until I started studying tube amps.

To answer your question, no the manual doesn't even list all of the effects much less state what the knobs do. I'm clueless as to what some of the knobs are actually doing on some of the effects but I still enjoy twisting them and trying out new sounds.

You mentioned amp knobs specifically, which knobs are you unsure of?

Thanks. I have been studying the various amps fender is modeling. It would be nice if Fender staff could provide some input. The knobs I would like information on are for the following:
The compressor (not the simple one)
The tape delay
The plate reverb
The mono delay

It's a great amp!

I've looked at those manuals and they don't provide the information that would be useful to a user with specifics on what the various stomp box and effects knobs do in Fender Fuse. It would be nice if Fender could describe those. thanks

Hi 2gary@fender,

It sounds like you may be looking for some additional general information regarding use of various standard effect types. If so, please send along an email to us an be sure to include your Forum name, real name and the text from your post here, and we can offer some additional support this way. Thanks.

I think this is right... My Mustang is temporarily dead from a failed firmware update and my family is listening to music so I can't test it on the amp, but I finally decided to tackle this post anyway.

Compressor
Keeps your volume from getting to soft or to loud
-"Level" controls the amount of this effect that is applied
-"Thresh" is the threshold that sound has to be to have the effect applied
-"Ratio" is probably the blend of unaffected sound with the affected sound
-"Attack" controls how fast the sound starts. It can be used to dial out harshness
-"Release" controls how fast the sound ends as it approaches the lower level

The tape delay
This effect plays back the sound that you run through it
-"LEVEL" controls the loudness of the effect
-"DLY TIME" controls how long it waits before starting to play back
-"FDBACK" determines how long it keeps playing back and how fast the volume fades with each repeat
-"FLUTTER" emulates inconsistant tape speeds in the original units. Higher settings would be to emulate a unit that has problems and a lower setting would be more like a digital delay
-"BRIGHT" dials in the brightness or higher treble frequencies
-"STEREO" probably controls the differences between the left and right channels

The plate reverb
I'm more familiar with the spring reverbs but the plate reverb was built to emulate the sound bounding back in a venue or room.
-"LEVEL" the loudness of the effect
-"DECAY" how fast the effect dies out
-"DIFFUSN" would be how much difference there is in the different playbacks of the sound. It could also be called muddiness
-"TONE" would be how bright or dark the reverberated sound is.

The mono delay
This is almost like the tape delay but it is digital
"ATTNUAT" this would attenuate or dial back the power going to the amplified signal being played back. It is like a volume but it also has a drive to it if you go too high.
