Modwiz, did your band ever put out an album? I just took a listen too, and your songs sound like they were recorded in a studio. And that was some great guitar playing. Semiotic Lobotomy and Mother Joan were my favorites, probably because they were a little trippier than the others.

We had an EP type of tape with 6 songs. Most of the ones I have at my Reverb Nation site.

Mother Joan and Semiotic Lobotomy are live recordings. Through a mixing board, but live. Our intense rehearsals made them come off like studio recordings.

I am pleased that you gave them a listen and enjoyed them. My rolling bass line in Mother Joan along with the very rich interaction with the drummer makes that song one of my favorites too.

Thanks fellas... I'm working on a similar cabinet project right now but don't have the speaker baffle cut or the back done yet... it's just decorating my jam space right now. I've got a speaker for it and just need to finish it up... think I may leave it for a summer project. I know I've shown it off a few times already but in case you missed it...
Image

I've got enough going on this weekend... new locking tuners for the strat in the above video and a new pickup to install in this guitars sister. Same basic wiring but w/o a "neck-on" toggle" other than that they're pretty much the same except for the wood. American special necks, Tex-Mex SC's and Dimarzio Super Distortion, Callaham bridge, HB coil tap toggles. The only real difference is that one's Alder/Rosewood vs. Ash/maple... maybe I'll get another Super Champ jam posted once I get it sorted out.... just waiting for the mailman to show up w/ my pickup.

No... I guess you could but I'm happy just setting it on top. It' hard to know how they're gonna sound until they're all together. These type of cabs can be very boomy in the low end...

Hey Jamguy. Thanks for subscribing to my youtube channel. I am working on another video, but WinMovieMaker is very sloppy with time and getting images to snap in time with the music has proved very frustrating as well as massively work and time intensive. I have one almost half done. I intend to get some live video like you have soon. Thanks for the inspiration and uplifting music. I want to get the new Ditto looper two. I'll loop a guitar track and then play melodic bass lines over it.

I just watched a review of that looper... looks fun. Good luck on the new video project. I'm a Mac guy and even iMovie looks more confusing than I'm up for these days. Usually the Apple software is idiot proof... not sure what that says about me??? It would be nice to do some simple editing though to clean up my videos. Maybe this summer when I have some time... cheers.

This video is a recording of my Tele thought the SCX2 clean channel with the line out, recorded on audacity. I added images to this guitar piece. It was supposed to be just and idea, but a song wrote itself. The Faerie Muses gave it to me. This is a first take of a song I had no idea was in me. It is a little rough. The spirit is all there though.

If you do like it, please give it a thumbs up if you can.

Why don't you loop it in a software, even a free one would work great, like Audacity.
The last video has a very low volume, better normalise it before posting.

Have fun!

I have Audacity. I want to get away from computers when I play, whenever possible. The ditto allows it to be me, guitars, a pedal and amp. I will see about the volume. It has not been an issue for other people, but thanks for the mention and the listen. :D

The latest vid on the combo... I've been using the SCX2 head 2x12 combo almost exclusively lately but I needed to give my eardrums a break for the day! Man, that thing is LOUD with those speakers! This is certainly a work in progress (the song specifically but the fake LP Custom also) . I need to learn the lyrics better... luckily with reggae, it's not too hard to chucka-chucka along and sing at the same time but I could still use some practice... anyhow, I'll keep at it. Hope you enjoy it, cheers.

Another head chopper video... I actually thought I was in the frame this time. And as a side note, I'm loving the 8mm filter on YouTube!

Before I check every link....are there any amp demo videos that show the amp in action with a band?
I have 4.
Sorry...settings stayed the same for all 4...but I did kick in a crybaby and a boss overdrive...
Just the two of us, we've got tonight (ska style), 25 or 6 to 4, she drives me crazy.
Xd powering my dead blues junior's speaker in its cab/coffin.

Vid quality sucks.....and reverb too high on amp....my fault....also about 6 sour vocal notes....3 right up front....
Oops, only 3 links allowed...
