Yeah, will do that, but I will have to do it this weekend when I get that laptop back.

I have been enjoying the Vox, 65deluxe and the Champ tones recently. I have to say the Eminence Red Fang is a magical speaker. I have never heard a 10" speaker like this.
Thumping bass, chimey, sparkling high end and no middle scooping. The perfect speaker for performing multiple roles from the DSP. The clean channel is all I could ask for, but get so much more.

I just changed the cab on the bassman setting to the 2x12C. It is my new clean "twin" like setting. It has a more acoustic like clarity to it. Not as driven a clean sound as the twin is. Try it, you might like it. I have to say, the 2x12C is the most balanced cab as far as rich tone for clean sounds go, IMO.

Favorite tone: '65 Twin with Chorus+Delay, Gain 7, EQ 7, middle pup position (Std Tele). Versatile clean-ish tonal range, very responsive to pick strike. An added benefit of the delay is the illusion of an acoustic guitar/12-string accompaniment when strumming robust rhythmic patterns. Very effective for simulating the trademark dual guitar delivery of "The Good Earth/Only Life"-era Feelies tunes. In a "fortunate accident", when capturing a working recording on my iPhone I've discovered that at a modest amp volume, the iPhone captures the ambient pick strum and attenuates the acoustic guitar accompaniment effect to such an extent that friends have insisted that I'd dubbed a second track, when in reality it is a single take.

@Modwiz
You've piqued my interest with your 2x12 cab suggestion for the Bassman model. I may give it try...
I might also play with cab selection on the SS Jazzmaster setting, as I really like most aspects of that model for Cramps-like surf/rockabilly tones, (Ha, a solid state amp model on a tube output amp...) yet find the low end to be quite "boomy" (esp with reverb), despite having swapped out the stock speaker for a very capable Legend 1058.

My favorite tone besides the clean channel which is also good is the Super Sonic (13) model, I changed out the speaker model to the twin 2-12 cab, tweaked the mids a little, and tweaked the second gain up a small amount in fuze. Perfect tone for my tonal taste.

Standard Tele in the middle pup position using the '65 Deluxe amp model with sine chorus and an excess of delay. Though just a sketch and merely a "voice memo" recording on my iPhone, the recording demonstrates the competent tonal capabilites (and onboard effects) of the Super Champ X2:

(though maybe not so much for the player...)
